Plant Life Balance

One pot wonders

Even easier than cooking, one pot wonders can become a prized feature in your garden no matter how big or small they are.

Here are some quick tips to get you started!

  1.  Height is important, so choose one tall plant to feature in your pot. Surround it with three medium-sized plants, then add a several sprawling and trailing varieties that will fill everything out.

  1. Think about when your choices flower. You may want the whole thing to bloom throughout spring or summer, but some prefer to stagger the display. Also, make sure everything enjoys the same level of light.
  1. Don’t forget the foliage. You want a combination of flowers and foliage.
  1. Large pots dry out less quickly, which means less watering.

  1. Experiment. Repeat!
