While the Flame Pea can thrive in the heat, a little shade is better. It likes to drape its leaves and flowers, so positioning it as a hanging plant, or resting over some rocks will look ace.
Regularly watering in well-drained soil will keep the Flame Pea burning bright.
Caterpillars love the Heart-leaf Flame Pea (and who can blame them!). Just spray the plant with Dipel (or similar) when this happens. Prune the tips immediately after flowering, too.
