A fresh take on interiors: it’s all about the green

What better way to display your love of all things leafy at home than literally splashing it all over the house?

In 2019 it was all about millennial pink, but with the new year we’re also seeing new styling tastes emerge, and we are stoked to see green is forecasted to be a huge up-and-comer. But we’re not just talking any old shade of green – the greens for 2020 are subtle, muted and refreshing.

So if you’re about to get stuck into a home reno or need inspiration to get started, keep scrolling to explore the specific two tones Plant Life Balance is digging this year. The beauty of these is that they could work pretty much anywhere in the home, from the bedroom to the bathroom.

The first colour we’re seeing a lot of is neo-mint. Cooling and calming, this is a great colour for keeping the vibes balanced in your home.

Where to put it? Try neo-mint on a feature wall or piece of furniture.

Works well with: Whites.

Sage green

The second colour we have our eye on is sage green, or as Dulux has dubbed it – Tranquil Dawn. Slightly warmer than the neo-min, this shade is perfect for those after a more natural shade that blends well with other earthy tones and textures.

Where to put it: Soft surfaces and coverings – think cushions and bedspreads.

Works well with: Terracotta, wood.
